Frequently Asked Questions

What to Expect During my Mermaid or Merman Photoshoot on Maui

Becoming a Mermaid or Merman is a new experience for most people!

If you have any additional questions after reading through our FAQ’s, please email me at Jules@MermaidMemoriesSC.com

  • Abshellutely! Jules has tons of options, including professional grade Deluxe tails by Finfolk Productions.

  • Jules has lots of options to help you feel your most confident in your mermaid tail! She’s got tails from toddler size through Adult XL (up to 230ish lbs) & has fisherman’s netting you can use to hide whatever you may want to hide (it’s good for mermaid muffin tops!). Jules also knows how to best position you during your mermaid photoshoot so you look your best! You can wear a shirt or a one piece swimsuit if you’d like to avoid wearing a bikini top.

  • Jules abshellutely LOVES her mermen clients! She’s done merman photoshoots both on land & underwater, & has all the same fantastic tail & accessory options to offer mermen.

  • Jules can meet you at a beach where the ocean is calm & clear on Maui for your underwater mermaid photoshoot. She will give you options when you book the shoot then let you know the day before whether the beach you agreed upon will work that day. Alternatively, you can invite Jules to your private pool for an underwater shoot.

  • For my mermaid photoshoots, I take Venmo, PayPal, & cash. The deposit must be paid through either Venmo or PayPal. Special requests & a small fee for credit cards.

  • Shell yes! Jules LOVES dogs & has 3 mer-dog costumes (small & mediums) to include your furry friend/s in your merfolk photoshoot free of charge.

  • Jules has at least 9 basic adult monofins in both Santa Cruz & Maui, & at least 8 basic kid monofins in both Maui & Santa Cruz, plus the adult Deluxe tail options which come with their own monofin. Toddlers don’t wear a monofin until they’re 5 or 6. Jules has many more basic mermaid tail skins than she does monofins so that each client has color & size options. She can outfit & photograph 9 merfolk in basic tails at once in both Maui & Santa Cruz, plus there are extra Deluxe tails for bigger groups.
